Hospice focuses on patients with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Volunteers usually take one patient at a time and work with that patient throughout the course of their illness; providing companionship and support, errands, transportation and respite for families. Volunteers become part of a team effort, which includes physicians, nurses, social workers, clergy and other professionals.

Interested individuals, who embrace the caring philosophy when assisting people with life-threatening illness, are encouraged to explore Hospice Volunteering. Plenty of support, education and camaraderie will be provided as participants help in a deeply meaningful way.

Pre-registration is required and class size is limited. Plenty of support, education and comradeship will be provided as you help in a deeply meaningful way. Please contact Linda Krisch, Volunteer Coordinator at 663-4008 for an application.
