Parent/Baby Adventure Program

The Parent/Baby Program serving the Greater Manchester area, provides group parenting education and support to young parents with newborns and older infants and children. The program is a group parenting experience that utilizes modeling, education and support to teach parents how to care for their new child. It assists them to gain the skills and motivation to meet the physical, emotional and psychological needs of their children. It also provides a positive support system which decreases isolation and stress, and consists of three major components, parent/caregiver education, social service networking and personal growth and development. At the VNA Parent/Baby Adventure Program, parents are encouraged to improve their own self-esteem by forming friendships, experiencing personal growth, establishing educational and vocational goals and feeling success as a parent.
